Welcome to Canterbury Lash Extensions, my name is Frankie Widdows and I have been a lash artist since 2012. I specialise solely in Eyelash Extensions from my beauty room in Canterbury. I am an award winning Lash Artist, International Lash Trainer, Guest speaker, and Lash Judge at the world’s largest eyelash extension events. I am also the founder of my International lash brand Eyelash Excellence, which supplies lash products and eyelash extensions training to the lash world. I am recognised globally for my high end lash work and have travelled the globe teaching my unique techniques. I love the intricate nature of eyelash extensions, focusing on the technicality of the treatment and creating bespoke safe sets for every client I meet. At Canterbury Lash Extensions, I love to specialise in the more mature clients, as well as those under going chemotherapy and whose lashes have become thin,
sparse and fragile.
I give my clients eyelash extensions which boost their confidence as well as disguise features such as hooded/heavy/tired looking eyes as well as accentuate others. I have dedicated my years in the lash industry to creating bespoke lashes that my clients deserve. Eyelash Extensions should look like a fabulous version of your own, with no need for mascara or eye makeup if you choose. My Passion for correct client styling
I class myself as a lash stylist, assessing the features of every client I meet to give them the perfect set of lashes suited for them.
I will always conduct a prior consultation and patch test with my clients so we can go through the look they desire and assess their natural lashes.
My deep interest in the subject of lash styling stems from a desire to understand how lash extensions alone can transform someone's appearance. Whether it’s disguising features that clients might feel self-conscious about, such as droopy, uneven, wide or close set eyes, hooded eyes—or enhancing the eyes with uplifting or rounding effects, lash styling is a powerful tool. Just as makeup is applied differently to each individual to highlight or downplay certain features, lash extensions must be tailored to suit each client's unique facial characteristics.

One style does not suit all, and it takes years to learn how to lash every client differently. You cannot fast track this knowledge, it is only by working on lots of different clients over the years that you understand what works and what doesn't.
Sadly many lash artists bypass the fundamental skill of styling and apply the same lash style to every client. Usually they use lengths which are too long both in the inner and outer section of the eye. This not only causes trauma to the delicate natural lashes in these areas but also distorts the shape of the eye, usually making it look heavy and droopy.
This visual example on the left demonstates this perfectly. Eyelash Extensions should lift and open the eye, not make it look smaller and tired.
My favourite types of clients are the more mature clientelle, the ones whose lashes have started to thin out, grow shorter as well as the eyes start to look heavier as we age. These are the clients who really "need" lash extensions but believe lash extensions are only for the young and if they wear a set they will look inappropriate. This is where I found my niche, lashing mature clients "correctly' and giving them back their confidence.
The hooded eye is something that tends to happen as we age, although even younger clients can be genetically hooded. In this image I have showcased how correct styling can diminish that hood without the need for eyelid surgery.
